The useful distinction

Teams look past v0 when the work stops being a Vercel web app: a backend service, a migration, a report, or a repository that deploys somewhere else.

An app builder owns the editor, the hosting and often the database. Rush owns none of those. It fits once the code lives in a GitHub repository and the next change should come back as a pull request.

Depth

In depth

Starter at no cost; Core $18 / month and Pro $90 / month, billed annually. Checked 17 October 2026.

Replit Agent

You want an agent, an IDE, a database and hosting in one browser tab.

A browser cloud workspace where Replit Agent builds, edits and publishes apps. It can also import a GitHub repository, commit to a branch and open the pull request.

On an imported GitHub repository the agent commits to a branch, pushes and opens the pull request with the description filled in. Needs write access.

Taps out. Starter builds only in Lite mode and its published app goes down after 30 days. Core runs 1 background task at a time. No REST API to start agent work; the MCP server signs in as a person.

Free with 5 build credits a day; Pro $25 / month for 100 credits. Checked 17 October 2026.

Lovable

You want a hosted web app with a backend, built by chat, with a whole team editing live.

A chat-driven app builder that generates and hosts full-stack web apps with a built-in Supabase-based backend, and syncs the code to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.

Two-way sync with one branch at a time, with pull request creation. Export only: an existing repository cannot be imported, and reconnecting creates a new one.

Taps out. Cannot import an existing repository. Edits and syncs one branch at a time. Connector and Lovable AI credentials cannot be copied out. The REST API cannot start AI work.

Free with 1M tokens a month; Pro $25 / month. Checked 17 October 2026.

Bolt

You do not write code and want a hosted web app from a prompt.

StackBlitz's in-browser app builder. Its agent builds and hosts web apps, with GitHub import and sync; you open the pull requests. Its docs say no coding is required.

Imports an existing GitHub project or creates a repository. You create a branch and open the pull request when ready.

Taps out. No public API to start agent work. Pull requests are opened by you. A disconnected repository cannot be reconnected by hand.

Rush

What Rush is

Rush is the alternative for the work around the app v0 built: tests, migrations, fixes from alerts and reports, on the same GitHub repository.

Honest limits

Skip Rush if

  • Rush runs three agents: Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. It does not host an agent you wrote yourself.
  • Repositories come through the Rush GitHub App. A GitLab or Bitbucket repository cannot be a run's repository yet.
  • There is no self-hosted or customer-VPC deployment, and we do not publish a compliance report today.
  • Compute is metered. Free includes 5 agent-hours a month and Pro 40, each with a weekly ceiling.
  • You review the pull request. Rush does not merge for you.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

What is the best v0 alternative?

It depends on the part of the job you want to keep. Use Replit Agent if you want an agent, an IDE, a database and hosting in one browser tab. Use Lovable if you want a hosted web app with a backend, built by chat, with a whole team editing live. Use Bolt if you do not write code and want a hosted web app from a prompt. Use Rush if you want to send a task by API or MCP and get back a pull request, report or files with the transcript.

Can I move from v0 to Rush?

There is nothing to migrate: v0 already makes the GitHub repository the source of truth. Install the Rush GitHub App on it and keep v0 for UI work.

Where does the code go when I leave?

Anything pushed to your GitHub remote stays there. That is the off-ramp on every product in this set, including Rush.
