A repository moving from a builder into a cloud agent loop

Neither product is ours. Rush is, and it gets one paragraph below. Every cell is from the vendor's own pages.

The short answer

Pick Replit for an IDE, a database and agent pull requests on imported repositories. Pick Bolt to build a hosted app with no code.

The useful distinction

Replit Agent: a browser cloud workspace where Replit Agent builds, edits and publishes apps. It can also import a GitHub repository, commit to a branch and open the pull request.

Bolt: StackBlitz's in-browser app builder. Its agent builds and hosts web apps, with GitHub import and sync; you open the pull requests. Its docs say no coding is required.

Decision

When each side wins

Replit Agent wins when

  • Hosting, deploys, custom domains and a production database come built in, with rollback up to 28 days on Pro.
  • People who do not write code can build with the Visual Editor and Design Canvas.
  • A full cloud IDE sits next to the agent.

Bolt wins when

  • No coding is required, and hosting with a free domain is built in.
  • Unused Pro tokens roll over to the next month.
  • It imports an existing GitHub project as well as creating one.

Rush

Where Rush sits

Rush starts where both stop: a GitHub repository and agents that open pull requests on it.

Honest limits

Skip Rush if

  • Rush runs three agents: Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. It does not host an agent you wrote yourself.
  • Repositories come through the Rush GitHub App. A GitLab or Bitbucket repository cannot be a run's repository yet.
  • There is no self-hosted or customer-VPC deployment, and we do not publish a compliance report today.
  • Compute is metered. Free includes 5 agent-hours a month and Pro 40, each with a weekly ceiling.
  • You review the pull request. Rush does not merge for you.
