Lovable vs Bolt
Two chat-driven builders for people who do not write code. Lovable publishes its own Bolt vs. Lovable comparison.

Neither product is ours. Rush is, and it gets one paragraph below. Every cell is from the vendor's own pages.
Pick Lovable for a built-in backend and unlimited members. Pick Bolt for token pricing that rolls over and GitHub import.

The useful distinction
Lovable: a chat-driven app builder that generates and hosts full-stack web apps with a built-in Supabase-based backend, and syncs the code to GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
Bolt: StackBlitz's in-browser app builder. Its agent builds and hosts web apps, with GitHub import and sync; you open the pull requests. Its docs say no coding is required.

Buyer questions
| Question | Lovable | Bolt |
|---|---|---|
| What runs | Lovable's Build mode. The models are not named in its docs. | Bolt's Standard and Max agents; Bolt picks the model. |
| Isolation | Lovable hosts the app and a built-in backend (database, storage, auth, functions) on Supabase's open-source foundation. | Hosted previews and Bolt hosting with a free .bolt.host domain. |
| Result and pull request | Two-way sync with one branch at a time, with pull request creation. Export only: an existing repository cannot be imported, and reconnecting creates a new one. | Imports an existing GitHub project or creates a repository. You create a branch and open the pull request when ready. |
| MCP | Custom MCP servers on all plans, and a Lovable MCP server at mcp.lovable.dev that can create and edit projects. | MCP servers the agent can read external tools and data from. |
| Team | Unlimited workspace members on all plans; everyone sees changes as they happen. | Real-time collaboration and shared integrations on Teams ($30 per member per month). |
| Starting price | Free with 5 build credits a day; Pro $25 / month for 100 credits | Free with 1M tokens a month; Pro $25 / month |
| Where it taps out | Cannot import an existing repository. Edits and syncs one branch at a time. Connector and Lovable AI credentials cannot be copied out. The REST API cannot start AI work. | No public API to start agent work. Pull requests are opened by you. A disconnected repository cannot be reconnected by hand. |
Decision
When each side wins
Lovable wins when
- Hosting, custom domains and a backend with database, auth and storage need no setup.
- Designers and agencies edit together in real time, with unlimited members on every plan.
- The loop is visual and preview first, with templates and design systems.
Bolt wins when
- No coding is required, and hosting with a free domain is built in.
- Unused Pro tokens roll over to the next month.
- It imports an existing GitHub project as well as creating one.
Rush
Where Rush sits
Neither is where a growing codebase stays. Once it is a GitHub repository, Rush agents can work on it.
Honest limits
Skip Rush if
- Rush runs three agents: Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. It does not host an agent you wrote yourself.
- Repositories come through the Rush GitHub App. A GitLab or Bitbucket repository cannot be a run's repository yet.
- There is no self-hosted or customer-VPC deployment, and we do not publish a compliance report today.
- Compute is metered. Free includes 5 agent-hours a month and Pro 40, each with a weekly ceiling.
- You review the pull request. Rush does not merge for you.
