# Replit Agent vs Bolt

Two in-browser builders with hosting. Replit publishes its own Replit vs. Bolt page.

Facts checked 17 October 2026. Prices and limits move. Read the citations.

Neither product is ours. Rush is, and it gets one paragraph below. Every cell is from the vendor's own pages.

**The short answer.** Pick Replit for an IDE, a database and agent pull requests on imported repositories. Pick Bolt to build a hosted app with no code.

## The useful distinction

Replit Agent: a browser cloud workspace where Replit Agent builds, edits and publishes apps. It can also import a GitHub repository, commit to a branch and open the pull request.

Bolt: StackBlitz's in-browser app builder. Its agent builds and hosts web apps, with GitHub import and sync; you open the pull requests. Its docs say no coding is required.

## Buyer questions

| Question | Replit Agent | Bolt |
| --- | --- | --- |
| What runs | Replit Agent, with model routing; Power and Max modes let you pick the model. | Bolt's Standard and Max agents; Bolt picks the model. |
| Isolation | A cloud development environment per workspace. Published apps run in a dedicated single-tenant GCP project, hosted in the United States by default. | Hosted previews and Bolt hosting with a free .bolt.host domain. |
| Result and pull request | On an imported GitHub repository the agent commits to a branch, pushes and opens the pull request with the description filled in. Needs write access. | Imports an existing GitHub project or creates a repository. You create a branch and open the pull request when ready. |
| MCP | MCP client for external tools, and a Replit MCP server (OAuth) that lets Claude Code or Codex create, update and publish Replit apps. | MCP servers the agent can read external tools and data from. |
| Team | Core invites up to 5 builders, Pro up to 15 collaborators and 50 viewers. Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM and audit logs. | Real-time collaboration and shared integrations on Teams ($30 per member per month). |
| Starting price | Starter at no cost; Core $18 / month and Pro $90 / month, billed annually | Free with 1M tokens a month; Pro $25 / month |
| Where it taps out | Starter builds only in Lite mode and its published app goes down after 30 days. Core runs 1 background task at a time. No REST API to start agent work; the MCP server signs in as a person. | No public API to start agent work. Pull requests are opened by you. A disconnected repository cannot be reconnected by hand. |

## When each side wins

### Replit Agent wins when

- Hosting, deploys, custom domains and a production database come built in, with rollback up to 28 days on Pro.
- People who do not write code can build with the Visual Editor and Design Canvas.
- A full cloud IDE sits next to the agent.

### Bolt wins when

- No coding is required, and hosting with a free domain is built in.
- Unused Pro tokens roll over to the next month.
- It imports an existing GitHub project as well as creating one.

## Where Rush sits

Rush starts where both stop: a GitHub repository and agents that open pull requests on it.

## Skip Rush if

- Rush runs three agents: Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. It does not host an agent you wrote yourself.
- Repositories come through the Rush GitHub App. A GitLab or Bitbucket repository cannot be a run's repository yet.
- There is no self-hosted or customer-VPC deployment, and we do not publish a compliance report today.
- Compute is metered. Free includes 5 agent-hours a month and Pro 40, each with a weekly ceiling.
- You review the pull request. Rush does not merge for you.

## Questions people actually ask

### Is Replit Agent cheaper than Bolt?

List prices, read off each vendor's pricing page on 17 October 2026. Replit Agent: Starter at no cost; Core $18 / month and Pro $90 / month, billed annually. Bolt: Free with 1M tokens a month; Pro $25 / month. The units differ, so price the job you run, not the plan.
