# Lovable alternatives

Teams look past Lovable when the prototype became a product: it needs work on more than one branch, a repository it did not create, or agents started from code.

Facts checked 17 October 2026. Prices and limits move. Read the citations.

Rush is our product and is listed first. Every other row is from the vendor's own pages, retrieved on the date beside it.

## The useful distinction

Teams look past Lovable when the prototype became a product: it needs work on more than one branch, a repository it did not create, or agents started from code.

An app builder owns the editor, the hosting and often the database. Rush owns none of those. It fits once the code lives in a GitHub repository and the next change should come back as a pull request.

## What Rush is

Rush is not an app builder. It is where the exported repository goes next: agents work on it from the API or a trigger and open pull requests, on as many branches as you have.

## If you… use… not if

| If you | Use | Not if |
| --- | --- | --- |
| You want to send a task by API or MCP and get back a pull request, report or files with the transcript. | Rush | You need to self-host, use GitLab or Bitbucket, or bring an agent loop of your own. |
| You want an agent, an IDE, a database and hosting in one browser tab. | Replit Agent | You want to start agent work from your own server with an API key. |
| You build web UIs on Vercel and want previews per branch and one-click publish. | v0 | The work is not a web app, or does not deploy to Vercel. |
| You do not write code and want a hosted web app from a prompt. | Bolt | You want agents started from code that open the pull request themselves. |

## The field

| Tool | Job | What runs | Isolation | Proof | Price | Taps out |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Rush | Send a task by API; an agent does it in its own sandbox | Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode | One E2B microVM per run | PR with checks, artifacts, transcript; else needs_review | Free 5 agent-hours / month, then $20 Pro | Three harnesses. GitHub repos only. No self-host. |
| Lovable | Chat-built web apps with hosting and backend | Lovable Build mode | Hosted app + Supabase-based backend | Live app; two-way GitHub sync | Free 5 credits / day; Pro $25 / mo | Export only. One branch at a time. |
| Replit Agent | Build, host and edit apps with an agent | Replit Agent | Cloud workspace; single-tenant hosting | Live app; PR on imported repos | Starter free; Core $18 / mo annual | 1 background task on Core. No task API. |
| v0 | AI web app builder that publishes to Vercel | v0 models | Live previews; Vercel deploys | Working branch + PR, Vercel deploy | Free 7 messages / day; Plus $30 / user | Vercel only. Pauses when credits end. |
| Bolt | In-browser app builder with hosting | Bolt Standard and Max agents | Hosted previews | Live app; you open the PR | Free 1M tokens / mo; Pro $25 | No task API. You open PRs. |

## In depth

### Replit Agent

Starter at no cost; Core $18 / month and Pro $90 / month, billed annually. Checked 17 October 2026.. You want an agent, an IDE, a database and hosting in one browser tab.

A browser cloud workspace where Replit Agent builds, edits and publishes apps. It can also import a GitHub repository, commit to a branch and open the pull request.

On an imported GitHub repository the agent commits to a branch, pushes and opens the pull request with the description filled in. Needs write access.

**Taps out.** Starter builds only in Lite mode and its published app goes down after 30 days. Core runs 1 background task at a time. No REST API to start agent work; the MCP server signs in as a person.

### v0

Free with 7 messages a day; Plus $30 / user / month. Checked 17 October 2026.. You build web UIs on Vercel and want previews per branch and one-click publish.

Vercel's AI app builder. It generates full-stack web apps from prompts, pushes to GitHub working branches, publishes to Vercel through pull requests, and has an API and an MCP server.

Creates a working branch for each change. Publish opens or reuses a pull request, merges it and waits for the production deploy; branch protection still applies. Fix Build and Fix CI in the branch menu.

**Taps out.** Free is 7 messages a day. Generation pauses when credits run out. Deploys only to Vercel. Web apps are the target.

### Bolt

Free with 1M tokens a month; Pro $25 / month. Checked 17 October 2026.. You do not write code and want a hosted web app from a prompt.

StackBlitz's in-browser app builder. Its agent builds and hosts web apps, with GitHub import and sync; you open the pull requests. Its docs say no coding is required.

Imports an existing GitHub project or creates a repository. You create a branch and open the pull request when ready.

**Taps out.** No public API to start agent work. Pull requests are opened by you. A disconnected repository cannot be reconnected by hand.

## Skip Rush if

- Rush runs three agents: Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode. It does not host an agent you wrote yourself.
- Repositories come through the Rush GitHub App. A GitLab or Bitbucket repository cannot be a run's repository yet.
- There is no self-hosted or customer-VPC deployment, and we do not publish a compliance report today.
- Compute is metered. Free includes 5 agent-hours a month and Pro 40, each with a weekly ceiling.
- You review the pull request. Rush does not merge for you.

## Questions people actually ask

### What is the best Lovable alternative?

It depends on the part of the job you want to keep. Use Replit Agent if you want an agent, an IDE, a database and hosting in one browser tab. Use v0 if you build web UIs on Vercel and want previews per branch and one-click publish. Use Bolt if you do not write code and want a hosted web app from a prompt. Use Rush if you want to send a task by API or MCP and get back a pull request, report or files with the transcript.

### Can I move from Lovable to Rush?

Yes. The steps, from Lovable's own docs, are on the Migrate from Lovable to Rush page. Code you already pushed stays where it is.

### Where does the code go when I leave?

Anything pushed to your GitHub remote stays there. That is the off-ramp on every product in this set, including Rush.
